From hot strip to tinplate

The raw material for the production of steel is iron ore and steel scrap. The used scrap consists of private as well as commercial metal waste - from old refrigerator housings to car bodies to used aerosol, paint or food cans. Raw steel is made from these materials, which is further processed accordingly for its intended purpose.
